6 month contract opportunity

Communications Manager function is progressing an ambitious OE program. This will introduce the OpX digital platform, establish a new Hub\-and\-Spoke operating model and create a connected community through which employees can develop capability, share best practice and deliver sustainable improvements.

We require an energetic, delivery\-focused Change and Communications Manager to turn the integrated change plan into a compelling employee experience. Working within a broader programme team, the successful candidate will support mobilisation, pilot activity, initial onboarding and a slightly staggered launch across TO. This is an opportunity to shape how a major transformation is understood, experienced and sustained across a complex international pharmaceutical organisation.

Principal responsibilities

  • Refine and deliver the integrated change, communications and engagement plan.

  • Complete stakeholder mapping, impact assessments and audience segmentation across departments, sites and OE personas.

  • Develop clear change story explaining case for change, future vision, benefits and implementation journey.

  • Create targeted communications supporting piloting, onboarding, training, launch, and sustained adoption.

  • Establish readiness measures, adoption indicators, feedback mechanisms and change\-risk reporting.

  • Identify resistance or engagement barriers and coordinate appropriate interventions with leaders and local teams.

  • Equip Leaders, Sponsors, Hub and Spoke teams, Champions and managers with consistent briefing materials.

  • Create presentations, FAQs, talking points, announcements, posters, articles, videos and manager toolkits.

  • Develop materials for team meetings, leadership forums, site all\-hands meetings and functional events.

  • Create and publish program’s intranet presence, coordinating new content and ongoing maintenance.

  • Develop launch plan for online OE CoP, including its purpose, governance and engagement model.

  • Create a detailed 60\-day CoP content calendar incorporating articles, interviews, best practices, success stories, discussion prompts, polls and recognition features.

  • Coordinate contributors and ensure content remains relevant, varied and aligned with programme priorities.

  • Communicate Hub\-and\-Spoke model, including its purpose, roles, governance and opportunities to participate.

  • Promote available training, coaching, certification, project experience, rewards and employee recognition.

  • Use pilot feedback to improve communications, learning materials, OpX guidance and later launch waves.

  • Build and activate a broad network of Champions and change advocates across Technical Operations.

  • Monitor participation, platform engagement and community growth, recommending actions to sustain momentum.

  • Capture lessons learned and transition ongoing communications and responsibilities required for BAU ownership.
Required experience, knowledge and skills

The individual should typically offer:

  • 5\-7 years’ change management and communications experience, including major technology or operating\-model transformations. Previous experience with Change Management methodology is preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience supporting pilots, phased deployments and post\-launch adoption.

  • Experience within pharmaceutical, life\-sciences, manufacturing or another regulated, multi\-site environment.

  • Strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement, change\-impact assessment, readiness, resistance and adoption measurement.

  • Excellent written communication, storytelling, facilitation and senior\-stakeholder influencing skills.

  • Proven experience developing intranet, digital\-community and multi\-channel communication content.

  • Ability to convert complex programme concepts into clear, engaging and audience\-relevant messages.

  • Confidence working independently while coordinating effectively across programme, technology, HR, communications and operational teams.

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint or comparable intranet platforms, Microsoft 365 and digital engagement tools.
Prosci, APMG Change Management or equivalent accreditation would be advantageous. Experience of Operational Excellence, Lean, Manufacturing 4\.0 or enterprise community\-building would be particularly valuable.
