Transactional Finance Manager
Workwear Uniform Group Ltd (WWUGL) is a leader in the sourcing, design, manufacture and distribution of technical workwear, PPE and bespoke corporate uniforms.

You'll play a central role in driving the growth of two of the Group’s key brands: Direct Corporate Clothing (off\-the\-shelf PPE and workwear contract specialists) and Incorporatewear (bespoke corporate uniform specialists).
You’ll also help establish WWUGL as a renowned brand in and of itself.
Role Overview
The Transactional Finance Manager will lead the Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions and act as a key point of contact for offshore transactional teams. The role is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of transactional processing, and driving continuous improvement across finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable (AP) Management
- Oversee end\-to\-end AP processing, ensuring timely and accurate invoice handling and supplier payments
- Monitor AP aging, resolve escalations, and manage supplier relationships
- Drive improvements in invoice capture, workflow, and exception handling
- Lead the Credit Control team to reduce aged debt and improve cash collection
- Oversee credit checks, customer account management, and escalation processes
- Develop and implement collection strategies to meet DSO and cash targets
- Manage day\-to\-day operations of offshore shared\-service teams delivering AP and AR activities
- Ensure SLA/KPI compliance and maintain a strong control environment
- Provide coaching, process guidance, and performance oversight for offshore staff
- Coordinate process transitions, documentation, and knowledge transfer
- Identify opportunities for automation and standardisation across transactional finance
- Maintain up\-to\-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Lead root\-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce rework
- Support finance transformation or system implementation projects
- Ensure transactional processes comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and policy
- Support month\-end close including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting
- Prepare KPI dashboards, analytics, and performance reports for senior stakeholders
- Take ownership of group cashflow reporting
- Lead, coach, and motivate a high\-performing onshore team
- Build strong relationships with departments such as Procurement, Sales, Operations, and IT
- Handle escalations and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Essential:
- Proven experience managing Accounts Payable and/or Credit Control teams
- Demonstrated experience managing offshore/shared\-service teams
- Strong understanding of financial controls, transactional finance workflows, and best practice
- Excellent people management, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to manage high\-volume processes and deliver against deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills
- Strong excel skills up to an including use of power query
- Experience in process transition or finance transformation projects
- Knowledge of automation tools (OCR, workflow systems, RPA)
- Professional finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
