Global Trade Solutions (GTS) comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. GTS is a key strategic business for the HSBC Group and is recognised as a leading trade provider both globally and regionally.

We are currently seeking a mid\-level to experienced professional to join the Global Trade \& Receivables Finance Department. The position Transaction Risk Manager – Global Trade Solutions (m/f/d) is available immediately and will be based in our Düsseldorf office.

What will you do:

The Transaction Risk Manager is responsible for the effective identification, assessment, ongoing management, monitoring and mitigation of transaction risk relating to debtors within the German Receivables Finance portfolio. The role contributes to the management of overall risk across the Receivables Finance (RF) portfolio in Continental Europe, with a particular focus on Germany, covering (amongst others) credit, operational, collateral and fraud risk.

In this role you will:

  • Assess risk for both existing and prospective non\-recourse debtors, in collaboration with Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) and other internal stakeholders

  • Analyze and manage buyer credit risk and the related Trade Credit Insurance policies

  • Prepare and submit credit applications and rating assessments in line with internal guidelines

  • Decide on debtor credit limits within delegated authority

  • Monitor and manage credit limits and ratings for receivables finance debtors

  • Ensure high data quality across relevant systems and reporting

  • Conduct detailed debtors and counterparties research

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers supporting existing counterparties of HSBC Germany and other HSBC entities

  • Support GTS compliance and risk culture by following, maintaining and helping to enhance processes for managing credit, operational, reputational, financial crime and regulatory risks

  • Participate in cross\-functional bank projects aligned with the TRM risk monitoring remit
Requirements:
  • Experience in Receivables Finance or Trade Finance

  • Highly motivated, agile and collaborative, with the ability to work independently

  • Strong ability to understand and interpret financial information and analysis

  • Fluent in English (German and/or French language skills would be a plus)

  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel

What you’ll get in return:

The pay range for this role is 60\.000,00\- € \- 65\.000,00\- €

The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual grading:

  • Tariff grading: The compensation is governed by the collective agreement for the private banking sector (Tarifvertrag für das private Bankgewerbe).

  • Non\-Tariff grading: For roles outside the tariff structure, HSBC offers multiple variable pay plans, to reflect the diverse nature of the businesses, roles and markets in which we operate. Variable pay is designed to reward colleagues for their individual performance and contribution, as well as the performance of their relevant Business / Infrastructure, and the overall Group.
