The Training \& Development Specialist is a varied, high\-impact role where you’ll design and deliver engaging training, support new starters, and adapt quickly in a fast\-paced environment. Working as part of our Centre of Excellence you will be required to travel to ports and vessels as part of this role so you must be able to drive and have use of a vehicle. What does a Training \& Development Specialist do here?

This is a highly visible and wide\-ranging role where no two days are the same. One moment you may be working on a key training project or designing learning materials, and the next you’ll be adapting quickly, traveling to sites or vessels to deliver an induction or training session. To be successful, you will be confident in designing and delivering high\-impact onboarding and training programmes as well as:

  • Lead onboarding and induction programmes

  • Design and deliver training on products, systems (incl. eBooking), operations and customer service

  • Translate updates into clear, effective learning solutions

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business

  • Maintain consistent training standards across locations

  • Track engagement, performance and feedback to improve outcomes

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning
What we’re looking for:

You’ll be someone who brings energy, credibility and adaptability to their role as well as the having the following attributes:

  • Flexible and responsive – able to quickly switch between project work and in\-person delivery across multiple locations

  • An engaging facilitator – confident delivering to a wide range of audiences, from new starters to experienced colleagues

  • Courageous and supportive – comfortable providing constructive feedback and having difficult conversations when needed

  • People\-focused – with strong interpersonal skills, empathy and the ability to build trusted relationships

  • Organised and self\-motivated – able to manage competing priorities effectively

  • Insight\-driven – using feedback and data to continually improve learning and business outcomes
Some other skills \& experience that we need you to have:
  • Experience delivering high\-quality customer service within the business

  • Strong knowledge of core operational systems and platforms

  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training

  • Experience using learning systems (e.g. LMS, SharePoint)

  • Ability to tailor learning to different audiences and business contexts
