Since 2011, The Salvation Army has managed the delivery of specialist support to more than 24,000 adult victims of human trafficking and modern slavery across England and Wales. Together with our supply chain partners, we focus on achieving best outcomes for survivors of these abhorrent crimes.

Key Responsibilities:

As Training Coordinator, you will support the development and delivery of a consistent, effective and accessible learning and development programme across the Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract Management Team.

Working closely with managers, HR, Learning and Development colleagues and the wider Contract Management Team stakeholders, you will help identify training needs, coordinate mandatory and role\-specific training activity, and support the development of a positive learning culture that enables staff to perform confidently and effectively in their roles.

In addition, you will support the planning, scheduling and evaluation of training activity, maintain oversight of training compliance, assist with induction arrangements for new starters, and contribute to the ongoing review of training materials, guidance documents and development plans to ensure they remain relevant, accurate and aligned to contractual and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of coordinating, supporting or delivering training, learning and development activity within a busy operational environment

  • The ability to identify training needs, support training needs analysis, and help translate learning priorities into practical plans and activities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with colleagues, managers and external partners at different levels

  • A practical, solution\-focused approach, with the ability to support staff development, contribute to continuous improvement and work collaboratively as part of a team

  • An awareness of equality, diversity and inclusion, and a commitment to ensuring learning opportunities are accessible and supportive for all staff

  • You may also have experience in coaching, mentoring, facilitating group discussions or workshops, or hold a relevant training, HR or learning and development qualification
