Trainee Recruiter

Glasgow City Centre \| Full\-Time \| On\-Site \| Entry Level \| Full Training Provided

We’re looking for a Trainee Recruiter to join a growing team in Glasgow. You’ll learn how to find great candidates, build relationships with clients and develop the commercial skills needed to succeed in recruitment.

You don’t need recruitment experience to get started. With full training, ongoing coaching and hands\-on support, you’ll learn the role from the ground up while developing your skills in sales, communication, negotiation and relationship management.

The Role

Recruitment is a people\-focused, fast\-moving career where no two days are exactly the same. As a Trainee Recruiter, you’ll gradually learn how to manage the recruitment process while building relationships with both candidates and clients.

Your role will include:

• Speaking with candidates and understanding their career goals


• Searching for and identifying suitable candidates


• Conducting initial candidate conversations and interviews


• Building relationships with new and existing clients


• Matching candidates with relevant opportunities


• Supporting interview arrangements and candidate preparation


• Following up with candidates and clients throughout the process


• Working towards individual and team performance goals

As your confidence develops, you’ll take greater ownership of the recruitment process and begin building your own network of candidates and clients.

You don’t need to come from recruitment. Personality, work ethic and willingness to learn are more important than previous industry experience.

Experience in sales, retail, hospitality or customer service can transfer particularly well into recruitment, but it isn’t essential.

Training \& Progression

You’ll receive practical training designed to help you understand both the people and commercial sides of recruitment.

You’ll develop skills across candidate sourcing, interviewing, sales, business development, negotiation, client relationships and account management.

As you gain experience and deliver results, you’ll have opportunities to take on more responsibility, develop your own client base and build towards senior recruitment, account management, leadership and team management.
