Trainee Project Manager \- Full\-Time \| Entry Level

Looking to build practical business experience and develop the skills needed to manage projects, people and performance?

We’re looking for a motivated Trainee Project Manager to join a growing sales and marketing team.

This is an entry\-level opportunity designed to give you hands\-on experience in how projects and campaigns are delivered from start to finish. You’ll begin by learning the day\-to\-day operation, working alongside experienced team members and understanding how objectives, people and performance come together.

As you develop, you’ll gradually take on greater responsibility across project coordination, team support, performance tracking and planning, creating a clear pathway towards project management.

Role \& Responsibilities

Your first stage will focus on understanding how successful projects are delivered and how individual activities contribute towards wider business goals.

You’ll gain practical experience across:

  • Supporting the day\-to\-day delivery of projects and campaigns

  • Working towards project objectives, deadlines and performance goals

  • Communicating with customers, colleagues and other team members

  • Helping organise daily activities and priorities

  • Tracking progress and key performance indicators

  • Supporting customer acquisition and campaign activity

  • Identifying challenges and helping find practical solutions

  • Keeping the team focused on agreed objectives

  • Reviewing results and identifying areas for improvement

  • Building an understanding of project planning and coordination
Rather than learning project management purely through theory, you’ll develop your skills by working directly within active projects and campaigns.

Candidate Profile

Previous project management experience isn’t required. This position is designed for someone who wants to learn, develop and progress.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Ambitious and motivated to progress

  • Organised with good attention to detail

  • Confident communicating with different people

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities

  • Proactive and willing to take responsibility

  • Solution\-focused when challenges arise

  • Reliable and accountable

  • Open to coaching and feedback

  • Comfortable working towards goals and deadlines

  • Interested in business, management and leadership
Project Management Development

As you build experience and demonstrate a strong understanding of project delivery, you’ll have opportunities to take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Your development can include:

  • Coordinating day\-to\-day project activity

  • Helping plan objectives, priorities and deadlines

  • Monitoring project and team performance

  • Supporting and coaching newer team members

  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and results

  • Developing leadership and decision\-making skills

  • Managing changing priorities and project requirements

  • Taking greater ownership of project delivery
The goal is to build a strong understanding of planning, people, customers and performance before progressing towards managing projects and teams independently.
