Trainee Installation Engineer

Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 37\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (overtime required)

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Trainee Installation Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems and learning new skills. No previous AV experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The Role

Working alongside our experienced engineers, you will assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of a wide range of technology solutions, including:

• Interactive displays and large format screens


• Projectors and projection screens


• Video conferencing systems


• Digital signage solutions


• Audio systems and speakers


• Classroom and meeting room technology

This is a varied, hands\-on role that will involve travelling to customer sites across the UK and working in schools, colleges, universities, offices and other commercial environments.

No two days are the same, and you will gain exposure to a wide range of technologies while learning from experienced professionals within the industry.

What We're Looking For

Whilst previous AV experience is not essential, you must:

• Have experience using hand and power tools


• Be comfortable undertaking manual work and lifting equipment


• Be practical, hands\-on and keen to learn


• Have good attention to detail


• Be reliable, punctual and professional


• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic


• Be able to work effectively as part of a team

The following experience would be advantageous:

• Construction


• Electrical work


• Data cabling


• Carpentry


• Shop fitting


• Mechanical installation


• General installation or field\-based work


• Audio Visual installation

A full UK driving licence would be advantageous, although not essential for the right candidate.

Hours and Overtime

Your contracted hours will be 37\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Due to the nature of our business and customer requirements, you will be required to work overtime, including occasional early starts, late finishes and overnight stays where required. Overtime is paid.
