Trainee HIU Engineer

Main Purpose of the Job
To be a brand ambassador for SAV Aftersales, providing a first in class service to our customers in relation to commissioning, servicing and maintaining SAV’s market leading range of Heat Interface Units (HIUs), mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems and metering solutions PRIMARILY in London and the southeast of England.
Roles and Responsibilities
- HIU commissioning, servicing and repair and fault finding.
- Installation, commissioning, ad hoc repair and servicing of mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems.
- Smart metering and pay as you go (PAYG) commissioning and ad hoc repairs.
- Communicating professionally and courteously with clients and delivering a first in class service.
- Generating accurate and timely site reports within our CRM system.
- Participating in manufacturer and in\-house CPD training to achieve the industry recognised qualifications required to carry out the role to the highest standards.
- Adhering to Health and Safety regulations and working safely at all times.

Skills and Experience
- Previous plumbing and/or heating experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of heat networks and previous experience of HIU commissioning, servicing, repair and fault finding would be desirable.
- Knowledge of PAYG and smart metering is desirable, but not essential.
- A technical aptitude, with an interest in low carbon technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Good MS Office skill sand experience of inputting and updating information in a CRM database is required.
- Time management and prioritisation skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and team working skills.
- A plumbing or heating NVQ L2 (or equivalent) would be desirable, but is not essential.
- A relevant and valid CSCS card is desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
