The European Investment Fund (EIF) is seeking to recruit for its EC EIB \& North Mandate Management Services Unit in the Mandate Services Division of the Client Services Department (Investment Office),at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Trainee – Data Analyst.

Duration: 5 months \& Starting date: September 2026

*Specific Post Environment:*

TheEquity and Hybrid Mandate Management Services Unit in theMandate Services Division is part of the Client Services (CS) Department within the Investment Office (IO). The Division is responsible for post\-signature mandate activities including governance, reporting, termination, data mining, audit as well as bespoke relationship management with the mandators.

Working in MS will allow the Trainee to gain a good experience in mandate management and project management as well as a broad understanding of the entire EIF product portfolio.

*Overall objective:*

Your overall objective will be to:

• Process mandate termination activities by conducting portfolio analysis and contract analysis, including the support to the development of relevant sophisticated data mining tools.


• Support governance and other post\-signature mandate activities with a particular focus on optimising and automating data collection and data visualisation.

*Responsibilities*:

Under the guidance of the senior of the team, you shall:

• Support the preparation, development, testing and implementation of the automation of data visualization tools;


• Organize information and documents related to governance and termination activities as well as other post\-signature mandate activities;


• Draft technical documentation and guidelines for internal tools, conduct contract analysis and support on bespoke tasks.

*Expected outcome**:*

• At least one enhancement in a visualization tool;


• At least one new visual dashboard developed and implemented (Tableau and/or PowerBI);


• At least one new PowerAutomate flow implemented;

All accompanied by the delivery of draft technical documentation and guidelines related to the new internal tools on governance, termination activities and other post signature mandate activities, as applicable.

*Qualifications:*

• University degree (minimum bachelor’s degree) in primarily Business administration, Data Analysis and/or Modelling, Computer Science, or any other related disciplines;


• Relevant first (short\-term) professional experience on automating tasks in an administrative or financial environment would be a plus;


• Knowledge of Power Automate, Alteryx, Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint) would be an advantage;


• Ability to create and maintain dashboards and reports within specialised software (Excel, Tableau, PowerBI or others) would be an advantage;


• Experience, whether academic or practical in nature, in data analysis and/or modelling (e.g. statistical analysis, governance, project management, financial modelling, etc);


• Good knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices;


• Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Good command of another EU language would be an advantage.

• Proactivity, capability to work autonomously under given objectives and ability to organise own work effectively even under time pressure;

• Attention to detail, while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
