Full Time \| On\-Site Training \| Family\-Run Electrical Contractor

We are a small, family\-run electrical contracting company specialising in new\-build housing projects, and we are looking for a Trainee Electrical Estimator to join our friendly office team.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in electrical estimating and gain practical experience within an established business. No formal qualifications or previous estimating experience are required, as full training will be provided on site.

The Role

Working as part of our small office team, you will receive hands\-on training and gradually develop the skills required to prepare electrical estimates and quotations for new\-build housing projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of electrical estimates and quotations


• Reading and understanding electrical drawings and specifications


• Measuring and calculating materials and labour requirements


• Using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes


• Communicating with suppliers and contractors when required


• Maintaining accurate records and pricing information


• Supporting the wider office team with day\-to\-day tasks


• Learning how electrical projects are priced, planned and delivered

As your experience develops, you will be given more responsibility and the opportunity to progress within the business.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Keen to learn and develop a career in electrical estimating


• Reliable, organised and willing to take responsibility


• Comfortable working as part of a small team


• Numerate with good attention to detail


• Confident using a computer


• Ideally familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programmes


• Able to communicate clearly and professionally


• Interested in construction, electrical work or the building industry

No formal qualifications are required, and full training will be provided. An existing understanding of electrical work, construction or new\-build housing would be an advantage, but is not essential.
