Trainee Dental Nurse/Qualified Dental Nurse & Receptionist
Smilecare Dental Centre is seeking a highly organised and professional individual to join our team as a Dental Nurse/Receptionist. We are located in Archway, London; just across the road from Archway underground station.
We are a busy Private and NHS family run practice established in the community for over 40 years. At Smilecare we have 4 surgeries and a popular endodontic referral service. There is a dedicated staff area, fully equipped kitchen and uniforms provided.

Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. We offer additional benefits including paid GDC registration and indemnity, online CDP courses, annual BLS training, staff outings, subsidised dental treatment.
This role is split depending on the rota, between dental nursing responsibilities and reception duties.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with dental procedures, including chair\-side assistance, sterilisation of instruments and preparation of surgeries.
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Manage patient appointments.
- Handle patient enquiries providing accurate and helpful information.
- Handle/Triage specialist referrals, ensuring timely communication and coordination with external providers.
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised surgery or reception area.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and protocols
- Assist with dental office administrative tasks such as filing, organising, and managing paperwork
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse and/or Receptionist is desirable. Training will be provided for trainees although they must be enrolled on a dental nursing course.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Word and Excel is preferred.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast\-paced working environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and rota requirements.
- Full time, working hrs weekly Monday to Friday, from 8:45am to 6pm
- Availability on alternate Saturdays (half day)
- Hourly rate: Depending on experience, to be discussed at interview.
- Start date: ASAP.
Pay: From £24,500\.00 per year
