We’re working with a growing and successful accountancy practice based in Lancing, known for its supportive culture and strong client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a motivated Trainee Accountant to join their team.

The Role

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting duties, working closely with experienced professionals from day one.

Key responsibilities:

• Assisting with preparation of year-end accounts (sole traders, partnerships, limited companies)


• Supporting bookkeeping and VAT returns


• Assisting with management accounts


• Supporting personal and corporation tax returns


• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries


• Maintaining accurate records and working papers

Full support towards a professional qualification (AAT / ACCA / ACA), including:

• Paid study leave


• Tuition and exam fees covered


• Ongoing mentoring and development

• Ideally 1–2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice


• Strong interest in pursuing a career in accountancy


• Good attention to detail and numeracy skills


• Confident communicator with a professional approach


• Organised, proactive, and willing to learn


• Basic Excel skills


• AAT studier or looking to begin studies advantageous

• £26,000 – £30,000 salary
