Trading Engineer

<p>Our Trading Engineering team plays a critical role at the heart of our complex environment. Making sure that we can release daily in a safe and controlled manner is a vital responsibility, as well as ensuring high availability, stability and performance. The team works closely with traders and a wide range of technologists such as developers, systems engineers, network engineers and performance engineers in a diverse technical landscape. One where many components interface and manage a high-volume data flow over a low-latency infrastructure to execute our trading strategies.</p>
<p><strong>Your Core Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Troubleshooting and providing quick response to production issues but more importantly solving the root cause of problems in a structural way</li>
<li>Helping eliminate downtime using the latest open source technologies, translating trading requests into concrete technical requirements, and working with focus teams to create and implement new sustainable solutions.</li>
<li>Coordinate, prioritise and plan the changes to our trading software to ensure smooth exchange migrations and quick time to market for new features and software.</li>
<li>Working closely with traders and quantitative researchers and a wide range of technologists such as developers, systems engineers, network engineers and performance engineers in a diverse technical landscape. One where many components interface and manage a high-volume data flow over a low-latency infrastructure to execute our trading strategies.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Your Skills and Experience: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2+ years of experience as an SRE or System Engineer or DevOps Engineer or MLOps Engineer</li>
<li>Python and Bash scripting skills</li>
<li>Experience with Kubernetes</li>
<li>Solid understanding of the Linux Operating System</li>
<li>Experience with building and maintaining Machine Learning pipelines is a plus</li>
<li>Experience with database querying</li>
<li>Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols</li>
<li>A knack for troubleshooting</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li>
<li>A proactive attitude and a strong drive to learn and develop yourself</li>
