Trade Sales Executive

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established independent builders' merchant with the recruitment of a Trade Sales Executive.

Permanent, full-time position based in Edinburgh, working Monday to Friday.

Salary

£29,000 – £35,000, depending on experience + annual profit share bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing trade customers


• Handle incoming customer enquiries and provide quotations and pricing


• Build strong relationships with builders, contractors and other trade customers


• Identify opportunities to increase repeat business and account spend


• Re-engage dormant accounts and develop new sales opportunities


• Provide product advice across building materials, tools, ironmongery and related products


• Upsell and maximise account value where appropriate


• Work closely with the wider sales team to secure orders


• Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the sales process

• Previous experience within trade sales, builders' merchants, construction supplies or a similar environment would be advantageous


• Strong sales and customer relationship skills


• Good commercial awareness and confidence discussing pricing


• Experience managing customer accounts or developing repeat business


• Knowledge of building materials, tools, fixings or ironmongery would be beneficial


• Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills


• Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a busy sales environment


• Strong focus on customer service and achieving sales results

• £29,000 – £35,000 salary depending on experience
