Touring Event Manager
As part of an intimate musical concert series, we are seeking to fulfil a Glasgow based Tour Manager on a contractor basis starting in December with events mainly on Fridays and Saturdays throughout Scotland.
Previous managerial experience is a plus, but does not need to be from the events industry, although preferred. Full training will be provided on site. As Event Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the event from setup through to close, ensuring everything runs smoothly and guests receive an exceptional experience. You’ll manage the event team, coordinate with the venue and performers, oversee guest entry and seating, maintain presentation standards, and deal calmly and professionally with any issues that arise. We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility in a live event environment. You should be a strong communicator, confident managing a small team and able to maintain high standards while working to a schedule.
Key manager responsibilities include:
- Leading and briefing the on\-site event team
- Liaising with venue staff and performers
- Overseeing event setup, including seating and decor placement
- Managing guest entry, ticket scanning and seating
- Ensuring the venue and event presentation meet company standards
- Keeping performances and changeovers running to schedule
- Managing any operational or guest issues
- Overseeing event close\-down and ensuring the venue is left as required
- Hold a valid UK driving licence and prepared to drive a van of equipment from storage to event sites (required)
