Are you an enthusiastic and forward\-thinking Occupational Therapy (OT) Assistant Practitioners ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dedicated Band 4 Therapy Assistant to join our expanding team to work.

In line with the national "Experts at Hand" (EAH) initiative , this role focuses on a highly responsive, embedded model of therapy and support. Instead of working in isolation, you will act as the accessible clinical expert directly within educational environments. You will collaborate with teachers, families, speech \& language therapists, and educational psychologists to provide early, localised intervention for children with Occupational Therapy needs.

You will work alongside a Highly Specialist and a Senior OTs.

Therapy assistant practitioners support the development of the EAH, working to embed targeted interventions and coaching teaching staff directly inside mainstream classrooms.

The role under the guidance of the OTs involves supporting children to meet their OT needs through targeted intervention, empowering school staff to confidently support participation. independence and well\-being.

Within the scope of the role the post holder will independently (unsupervised) plan and delivery individual or team tasks where the understanding of role boundaries and importance of supervision and carrying out appropriately delegated tasks and plans is essential.

This role requires understanding, and factual and theoretical knowledge of principles, policies, protocols, procedures, processes, plans and concepts in broad contexts within the area of work or defined group of patients. Although work is guided by standard operating procedures, protocols or systems of work, the post holder must to able make judgements, plan activities, contribute to service development and demonstrate self\-development. The post holder may be responsible for supervision of others and delegate appropriate tasks to other non\-registered staff.

The post holder will be required to complete the relevant competencies required for the post.

This is a community based role, use of your car for work is essential.
