Therapeutic Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentor / Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a specialist educational setting in Norwich.

The Role
You will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to engage with a bespoke and varied curriculum designed around individual needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
- Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs (SEMH)
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Building positive relationships with students to increase confidence and independence
- Supporting pupils to re-engage with education and raise attainment levels
- Contributing to a varied curriculum, including both on-site and off-site enrichment activities
- Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar)
- A calm, resilient, and patient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils who may have struggled in mainstream settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour positively and proactively
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
