In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electronic systems and components, ensuring they meet performance standards and technical specifications. You’ll work closely with cross\-functional teams across the business to help deliver high\-quality, customer\-focused solutions. We’re seeking someone with a strong foundation in electronics engineering, a passion for innovation and continuous improvement, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with design tools, testing methods, and industry standards is also highly valued.

Duties
Testing \& Troubleshooting:
- Perform functional and in\-circuit testing of electronic assemblies, PCBs, and finished products.
- Diagnose faults down to component level and carry out necessary repairs or escalate as required.
- Interpret test data and provide detailed reports on findings.
- Set up and operate test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analysers, and automated test systems.
- Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to improve test procedures and product performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing automated test solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO, CE, UL).
- Support engineering teams in investigating field failures and warranty returns.
- Maintain accurate test records and failure reports.
- Write and update test procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure test processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Provide technical support to production and R\&D teams.
- Train and guide production staff on test procedures and equipment usage.
- Participate in design reviews, offering feedback to improve testability and manufacturability.
Essential:
- HNC/HND/Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field (or minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role – Unless a graduate)
- Experience in testing and fault\-finding electronic assemblies, including PCBs.
- Proficiency in using test instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
- Ability to interpret schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Good understanding of IPC standards and electronic manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel / Word etc)
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and programming test scripts.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, Python, or similar test automation software.
- Familiarity with RF testing and high\-speed digital circuits.
- Understanding of industry standards such as ISO 9001, CE, UL, or MIL\-spec.
- Attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross\-functional team.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Pay: £26,000\.00\-£37,000\.00 per year
