<p><strong>Mission Focus:</strong> NT Concepts is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.</p>
<p><strong>Clearance</strong>: Active DoD Secret clearance, US Citizenship is required.</p>
<p><strong>Location/Flexibility: </strong>Vienna, VA with remote flexibility.</p>
<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>
<p>The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of enterprise software applications. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in test automation, with a strong background in using automated testing tools such as Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, Vaaden TestBench, Ranorex Studio, Katalon Studio.</p>
<p>The engineer will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to validate requirements, identify issues early in the lifecycle, and ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions in a Navy on-premise environment using JBoss and Oracle DB.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.</li>
<li>Create and manage test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.</li>
<li>Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.</li>
<li>Execute automated and manual tests to validate software functionality, security, and performance.</li>
<li>Track, document, and report software defects; work with the development team to resolve issues.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with DoD and organizational software quality standards.</li>
<li>Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.</li>
<li>Contribute in Agile ceremonies and support iterative development processes.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Clearance</strong>: Active DoD Secret clearance, US Citizenship is required.</li>
<li><strong>Education: </strong>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.</li>
<li><strong>Experience</strong>: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software test automation using tools such as Selenium, Tricentis Tosca, Vaaden TestBench, Ranorex Studio, Katalon Studio.</li>
<li><strong>Certifications:</strong> Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140-compliant certification or the ability to attain it within the first six months.</li>
<li>Proficiency in <strong>Java</strong> for test script development.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.</li>
<li>Experience with <strong>Jira</strong> for test management and defect tracking.</li>
<li>Proficiency with <strong>GitHub</strong> for source control and collaboration.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with <strong>Google Web Toolkit (GWT)</strong>.</li>
<li>Experience working in Agile software development environments.</li>
<li>International Software Testing Qualifications Board (<strong>ISTQB</strong>) certification.</li>
<li>Experience with JBoss application server and Oracle databases.</li>
<li>Experience with performance testing or security testing tools.</li>
<li>Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds occasionally.</li>
</ul>
