Technical Support Engineer

Job overview:

To facilitate customer and sales support for Technical Consultancy and to provide Technical customer training across the client's portfolio but with an expertise within a specific range.

This role is managed by the Technical support manager and with a team size of approximately eight engineers. This role requires both teamwork and independent working with successful candidates being able to spend 3 - 4 nights a month away from home.

Primary Responsibilities

Customer Consultation including machine and software demonstrations

Customer training courses on the product range (Punching machines)

Ensure the showroom machines are prepared, and the areas are ready for demonstrations or training

Clear and concise documentation of customer issues via SIS

Remote Customer support on operator / programming issues Sales Support

Design and develop Punching machines for demonstrations.

Demonstration machinery to show full benefits for the customers products.

Maintain Showroom ethos, clean/tidy and functional.

Support Internal Training/ Sales Staff with sales support.

Time Studies and time justifications.

Tooling Sales support

Working hours/requirements

39hrs per week covering the core office hours

Monday to Friday office-based work

Hybrid working where applicable

Tracked Company Vehicle

Full license with a maximum of six points

No Drink driving history

Client supplies all tools & Equipment

Good Engineering background

HNC HND, NVQ or apprenticeship

Experience of Cadcam

• Ability to stay 3-4 nights away from home per month for customer demonstrations etc
