VIEZU Technologies Ltd is an established automotive software and vehicle tuning company supporting dealers, tuning businesses and partners around the world.
Our technical team works with specialist vehicle software, ECU programming tools, diagnostic systems and calibration data across a wide range of vehicle manufacturers and platforms.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and capable Technical Support Engineer to join the team.
This is not a general IT helpdesk position. We are looking for someone who already has strong technical support and problem\-solving skills and who wants to apply and develop those skills within a specialist automotive environment.
For the right person, the role also provides a structured pathway into ECU calibration and vehicle tuning file development.
The Role
Your initial focus will be providing high\-quality technical support to VIEZU dealers and customers using our software, vehicle programming tools and associated systems.
You will take ownership of technical problems, gather the right information, diagnose issues methodically and work with customers and colleagues to reach an appropriate resolution.
We are looking for someone who can work effectively within established systems and processes, but who also thinks for themselves. You should be capable of recognising recurring problems, identifying where a process, system or customer journey could be improved and contributing constructively to those improvements.
As your knowledge of our systems, vehicles and ECU technology develops, you will receive structured training in ECU calibration and tuning file development.
The objective is to develop the successful candidate into a multi\-skilled automotive technical specialist, capable of combining advanced technical support with ECU file development and calibration work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to VIEZU dealers, customers and partners by telephone, email and support ticket.
- Diagnose software, hardware, communication and vehicle\-related problems using a structured and methodical approach.
- Take ownership of technical cases from initial report through to resolution or appropriate escalation.
- Ask effective diagnostic questions and obtain the information required to accurately understand a problem.
- Interpret error messages, logs, screenshots, system behaviour and customer information.
- Accurately record support activity and technical findings within CRM and ticketing systems.
- Support customers with VIEZU software, ECU programming tools, vehicle communication and associated technical systems.
- Assist with dealer onboarding, software setup and technical guidance.
- Escalate complex problems with clear, useful and technically relevant information.
- Identify recurring support issues and contribute to improvements in processes, documentation, training and customer guidance.
- Work with other members of the technical and development teams to resolve product and system issues.
- Progress through VIEZU's internal automotive and ECU training programme.
- Develop the skills required to undertake ECU tuning file preparation and calibration work as agreed training milestones are achieved.
We are primarily interested in people who already know how to provide good technical support.
You may currently work in IT, software, telecommunications, telematics, automotive technology, industrial systems, electronics, technical product support or another specialist technical environment.
You do not need previous ECU tuning or file\-writing experience. We can provide that specialist training.
However, you should already be comfortable diagnosing technical problems, dealing directly with customers and taking responsibility for finding solutions.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a technical support, product support, application support, systems support or similar technical role.
- Strong computer literacy and confidence learning unfamiliar specialist software and systems.
- A logical and analytical approach to fault finding and problem\-solving.
- Experience investigating technical problems rather than relying solely on scripted responses.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers with different levels of knowledge.
- Ability to manage technical support cases accurately from initial contact through to resolution.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under time pressure.
- Comfortable following established processes and procedures.
- Able to think independently when a problem falls outside those procedures.
- Willingness to identify recurring issues and suggest practical improvements.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technical subjects and systems.
- Genuine interest in developing specialist knowledge of automotive software, ECU systems and vehicle calibration.

You will need to be comfortable working within established procedures, while also having the confidence and judgement to raise concerns or suggest improvements when something could be done better.

Develop into a multi\-skilled member of the technical team capable of supporting complex technical cases alongside ECU calibration and tuning file development.
Location and Working Arrangement
This role is primarily based at our offices in Bidford\-on\-Avon, Warwickshire, B50 4JN.
During the initial training period, expected to be approximately 4–6 months, normal working hours are:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am–5:30pm, with one hour for lunch.
Due to the global nature of the VIEZU business, Technical Support operates across extended hours and seven days per week.
Following successful completion of training, the position will therefore require occasional evening and weekend support cover. This is scheduled in advance and shared fairly across the technical team.
Some out\-of\-hours support can be carried out remotely.
The resulting average working week is approximately 38–40 hours across five days.
This role does not offer routine hybrid or remote working. Applicants should therefore live within a reasonable commuting distance of Bidford\-on\-Avon or be willing to relocate.
