WellFish Tech \- unique opportunity!
About the role
This is not a typical veterinary role! As Technical Lead – Veterinarian Norway, you will be the clinical and scientific authority for WellFish Tech in the Norwegian market. You will interpret complex blood biochemistry data, produce high\-quality veterinary reports, build deep client relationships with salmon producers, and actively contribute to business development. You will work closely with our commercial, data science, and laboratory teams, and represent WellFish Tech at industry events and in front of key decision\-makers across the sector.
The ideal candidate knows the Norwegian aquaculture industry from the inside \- the farms, the fish health challenges, the veterinary community, and the regulatory landscape. You will be trusted to operate with significant autonomy and will have direct influence on how we grow in Norway.
Key responsibilities
Interpret blood biochemistry and clinical chemistry data from routine salmonid health monitoring, producing clear, evidence\-based, and actionable veterinary reports within tight turnaround times.
Conduct site visits to farms across Norway, advising clients on fish health management, preventative strategies, and sampling best practice.
Build and maintain strong relationships with aquaculture veterinarians, fish health biologists, farm managers, and operational leads at client sites.
Identify and develop new business opportunities; support account growth and work collaboratively with the commercial team to achieve revenue targets.
Deliver training \- on\-site and virtually \- on non\-lethal blood sampling techniques, biomarker interpretation, and the clinical value of WellFish Predict.
Present case studies and scientific insights at client meetings, industry seminars, and conferences.
Collaborate with our data science and R\&D teams on biomarker development and continuous improvement of diagnostic outputs.
Contribute to quality management, data handling procedures, and regulatory compliance in line with Norwegian veterinary and aquaculture standards.
Monitor and report on commercial KPIs and client engagement using our CRM systems.
What we are looking for
Essential
Degree in veterinary medicine (DVM or equivalent) with a valid Norwegian veterinary licence, or eligibility to obtain one; candidates with a strong MSc/PhD in fish biology, aquatic animal health, or clinical biochemistry will also be considered.
Demonstrable experience in the Norwegian salmonid aquaculture sector \- you know the farms, the companies, and the fish health challenges.
Solid grounding in blood biochemistry and clinical chemistry, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, credible recommendations.
Excellent written and spoken Norwegian and English: you will communicate with clients, deliver veterinary reports, and represent WellFish Tech publicly in both languages.
Strong commercial instinct: you understand that technical excellence and business development go hand in hand.
Self\-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently across a wide geographic territory.
Valid Norwegian driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across Norway.
Desirable
Existing professional network among Norwegian salmon producers, veterinary networks (e.g. NVF, Norecopa), or industry bodies.
Hands\-on experience in blood sampling of salmonids.
Familiarity with data\-driven diagnostic tools or clinical decision\-support platforms.
Experience with R\&D projects, publication of scientific findings, or participation in industry working groups.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and ability to work with large datasets.

What we offer
A pivotal role in a science\-led company at the forefront of fish health innovation, with real influence on product development and market strategy in Norway.
Competitive salary and performance bonus.
Participation in the WellFish Tech employee share option scheme.
Company pension.
A collaborative, international team spanning Norway, Scotland, Ireland, and North America.
