Technical Buyer
Strategic \& Operational Procurement
Your Responsibilities
-------------------------
Here is an overview of your key tasks and daily responsibilities.
- You own the operational and strategic procurement of technical parts, components, and services \- from RFQ and negotiation through to on\-time delivery into our production.
- You actively maintain and develop our supplier base: you evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and framework agreements, and build long\-term partnerships that secure both quality and supply reliability.
- You work closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Production, support new product introductions from the procurement side, and actively drive cost reductions through technical alternatives, bundling, and process optimization.
- You keep delivery dates, order status, and inventory levels in clear view, spot bottlenecks early, and take action independently when things go sideways in close coordination with the Head of Purchasing, Quality, and Logistics.
---------------
The skills, experience, and mindset we are looking for.
- You have completed a technical or commercial apprenticeship \- for example as an industrial clerk or technician or hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain, and bring several years of professional experience in technical procurement.
- You can read technical drawings and understand the products you buy. This technical fluency makes you a credible counterpart for both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- You negotiate confidently and persuasively \- in both German and English \- and know how to land strong terms without damaging supplier relationships.
- You work in a structured and self\-directed way, prioritize confidently even under pressure, and communicate proactively, both internally and externally.
- Solid command of ERP systems (ideally SAP byDesign) and strong MS Office skills round out your profile.
