Tech Lead – Maritime UUV Systems (m/f/d) – 95% Remote

Your tasks:
- Lead the transition of advanced underwater vehicle platforms from prototype stage to scalable, production\-ready systems
- Coordinate the integration of mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software subsystems into a fully functional UUV platform
- Define and manage system interfaces across flight control, edge computing, communication systems, sensor technology, and acoustic components
- Establish and execute integration and validation strategies, from laboratory testing to open\-water sea trials
- Drive technical decision\-making across multidisciplinary teams and resolve complex system\-level trade\-offs
- Ensure manufacturing readiness by creating robust design documentation, assembly instructions, and version\-controlled engineering data
- Support supplier evaluation, component qualification, and risk assessment for scalable production environments
- Collaborate closely with engineering leads to ensure system architecture, hardware, and software remain aligned throughout development
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Robotics, or a related technical field
- Proven experience developing, integrating, and deploying complex electromechanical systems in real operational environments
- Strong understanding of systems engineering across mechanical, electrical, and embedded software domains
- Experience leading technical coordination and design reviews within interdisciplinary engineering teams
- Ability to make well\-founded engineering decisions under uncertainty and communicate technical reasoning clearly
- Hands\-on experience with integration testing, validation activities, and production\-oriented development processes
- Knowledge of configuration management, technical documentation, and scalable manufacturing principles
- Ideally experience with UUVs, underwater systems, subsea communication technologies, edge computing platforms, or defence\-related development programmes
- English C1
