Teamlead -Accounts Payable

Our Finance Department at our HQ in Antwerp is looking for a new colleague to further strengthen our Accounts Payable team. This new role is pivotable to support Manuchars growth and the Finance function.

As Teamlead Accounts Payable, you will be the A/P process owners including a leading role in the upcoming A/P Workflow optimization project. This role is situated on the crossroad between Finance, Accounting, the A/P team and the business teams it supports. As a Team Lead you will manage a team of 6 accountants including supporting them in their growth. You play a key role in driving efficiency, safeguarding internal controls, and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments.

Your main responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of six A/P accountants.


• Oversee daily A/P processing and ensure timely, accurate results.


• Organize and prioritize the transactional workload; identify and resolve operational issues.


• Take the lead in the rollout of A/P workflow automation, ensuring proper implementation, adoption and continuous optimization.


• Drive standardization and process improvements and maintain SOPs.


• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards and audit requirements.


• Act as the key liaison with Inside Sales, Treasury, IT and Accounting peers.

Your profile

• Min. bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent) with min. 3 years of experience as a people leader in a transactional accounting environment.


• Proven experience in process improvement, ideally within a shared services or multinational context.


• Fluent in English and Dutch.


• Strong stakeholder management skills and a clear, engaging communication style.


• Understanding of VAT principles.


• Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP and Power BI is a plus.


• Accountable, structured, accurate, customer\-centric and solution\-oriented.
