Team Leader (Semi\-Retired Builder / Tradesperson)
Looking for a role that keeps you active, social, and allows you to pass on your skills and experience?
We’re looking for an experienced builder, handyman, or tradesperson who may be semi\-retired or looking to step back from full\-time work on the tools, while still enjoying being part of a team and mentoring the next generation.
The Role
Working as a Team Leader, you’ll oversee a small team of 2–6 operatives carrying out property clearance and structural decontamination work following fire damage.
Your responsibilities will include:
\* Driving the team to and from sites (company vehicle provided)
\* Supervising the removal of possessions from residential properties
\* Leading strip\-out works, including flooring, plaster, kitchens, and bathrooms
\* Training and mentoring team members
\* Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
This is a hands\-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with a strong background in the building trades who enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience.
Hours \& Salary
\* Full\-time (40 hours per week) or part\-time (20 hours per week) available
\* Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata for part\-time hours)
\* Compressed working pattern – full\-time hours worked over 4 x 10\-hour days
Location
Based in Royal Wootton Bassett, with paid travel to sites across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.
The majority of our work is within residential properties, so a CSCS card is not required. However, successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.

About You
You may be a semi\-retired builder, carpenter, plasterer, multi\-trader, handyman, or general tradesperson looking for a less physically demanding role while staying involved in the industry.
Most importantly, you’ll enjoy working with people, leading by example, and helping younger team members develop their skills and confidence.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
