Managing a growing team of import air freight forwarders within the healthcare logistics sector. Taking responsibility for all operational activities within your team. And helping your colleagues to develop further through your positive approach to work. That’s what you do!

On a daily basis, you are the customer\-focused team leader healthcare import who, together with your team, ensures the smooth handling of all import shipments of healthcare products. You are responsible for the operational activities within the team and act as the main point of contact for colleagues, customers and international branches should any questions or issues arise. Thanks to your management style, both job satisfaction and quality within the team are constantly improving. You’re on it.

How do you do this? As a team leader healthcare import, you will work closely with your team and support them by providing advice, guidance and solutions to operational issues. You will also liaise with clients on both operational and commercial matters and work closely with internal departments and international colleagues. On a day\-to\-day basis, you will be responsible for the operational and tactical management of your

team. You achieve this by:

  • leading the healthcare import team and work closely with colleagues to ensure shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong customer focus;

  • timely planning and accurate processing of air freight shipments, while monitoring critical deadlines and temperature requirements;

  • monitoring operational KPIs, financial targets, quality standards, and customer satisfaction, making adjustments where needed to achieve results;

  • coaching, motivate, and develop employees, empowering colleagues to achieve both individual and team objectives;

  • actively involving in HR\-related matters, including performance reviews, absence management, and sustainable employability initiatives.

You bring

  • hbo level of working and thinking;

  • at least 5 years’ work experience in freight forwarding, preferably in the field of import air freight;

  • experience of managing or supervising colleagues in an operational environment;

  • good command of spoken and written Dutch and English.
