WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM

The Survey\&Protection group within Marine Installation consist of close to 70 engineers located in Norway, France and UK. This position is located in Oslo, Norway.

Our engineers prepare and follow up our marine cable installation projects worldwide with respect to survey operations and cable protection operations.

The group is currently divided into 4 teams, each with a dedicated Team Lead. We are now seeking a replacement for a Team Lead to lead a Team of approximately 15 protection engineers.

The position will report to Manager Survey\&Protection.

You will be cooperating with the other Team Leads within the group, and also have close contact with other disciplines in Marine Installation specific and Nexans Power Transmission in general.

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Team Lead you will get the responsibility to:

  • Organize the daily work within own team

  • Personnel responsibility for engineers in own team

  • Allocate personnel to projects and have an overview of resource needs for current and future projects

  • Personnel recruitments

  • Lead personnel training in own team, including new personnel

  • Develop and improve work processes and standard documentation

  • Act like a HSE role model for others

  • Have zero tolerance for poor HSE standards and intervene to stop unsafe work
Expected contribution linked to objectives will be:
  • Provide resources according to demands

  • Improved work processes and motivate manpower

  • Deliver the results according to targets/ objectives

  • Provides a good working environment

  • Ensures that the team “know how” is processed and developed

  • Ensure that all team activities are in compliance with internal requirements

  • Achieve high professional standards
YOUR STARTING POINT

We know that the best candidates don’t always match every requirement listed, but here are some examples of the background and experience that can help you thrive in the role:

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering etc.

  • Experience in Marine installation work and project based organisation.

  • Familiarity and experience with Office applications, ArcGIS, Autocad and Navimodel.Will be beneficial.

  • Management experience

  • Good communication skills

  • Systematic, organized and goal\-oriented

  • Analytical, with ability to understand ”the big picture

  • Decision making capability

  • Fluent in English, – oral and written.
