Raw materials \- especially resins – and related components are a critical sourcing category with significant impact on our success. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage global supplier relationships and drive strategic procurement for a purchasing volume exceeding CHF 300 million.
Team Lead Global Resin \& Plastic Components Sourcing (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Lead and develop a team of 5 Strategic Sourcing Managers
- Lead global strategic sourcing of plastic raw materials and related components, coordinating with Category Managers, Lead Buyers, and key stakeholders
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives for cost, availability, quality, and sustainability
- Build and guide a global network across Procurement, R\&D, Product Management, and Sustainability
- Provide strategic direction to senior management and report key results to the CPO
- Manage supplier performance, risk, and development initiatives to secure availability in challenging markets
- Deliver market analysis and forecasts on price and supply trends
Your profile
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, production, supply chain, or business administration
- 10\+ years’ experience in strategic procurement in a manufacturing environment, ideally in plastics
- Experience in leading teams
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills with excellent communication skills
- Analytical, strategic, and execution\-oriented mindset
- Experience in matrix and decentralized organizations
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
