Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to join a specialist provision in Gloucester, supporting pupils aged 8–16 across three dedicated sites.
About the Role
You will be working within a nurturing and supportive environment designed to help students who experience anxiety around attending school. The provision is split across three sites:
- Primary provision (ages 8–11)
- Secondary provision (ages 11–16)
- Girls’ provision
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Help students regulate emotions and build positive relationships
- Support the delivery of tailored learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Promote a calm, consistent, and supportive environment
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Full UK driving licence (essential) – you will be required to drive school vehicles to transport students between locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
