SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) – Reception

Full-time | Long-term (12 months)

Reed Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil on a 1:1 basis at a welcoming primary school in Gloucester. This is a long-term opportunity for 12 months, starting immediately.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Reception with special educational needs


• Assist with learning activities tailored to the child’s individual needs


• Support the child’s social, emotional, and behavioural development


• Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals


• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in Early Years or KS1


• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• A passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential


• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) are desirable but not essential
