Job Type: Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive team within a KS1 & KS2 Alternative Provision setting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference to their education and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Encourage and motivate students to participate in learning activities
- Provide targeted support to pupils, including those displaying challenging behaviour
- Help maintain a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning and behaviour plans
- Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress
- Take part in training and continuous professional development opportunities
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Strong general education across a range of subjects
- Understanding of the national curriculum and learning programmes
- Awareness of safeguarding, behaviour management, and relevant school policies
- A positive, proactive, and resilient approach to working with young people
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)
- Valuable experience within an Alternative Provision environment
