Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH
Salary: £22,160\.62 per annum *(not pro rata)*
Hours: 37\.5 hours per week \| Monday to Friday \| 8:30am \- 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time plus Training Days
Start: October 2026

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be far more than classroom support. You'll be a positive role model, trusted mentor and everyday champion, helping students overcome challenges, celebrate successes and develop the skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
Working alongside dedicated teachers, therapists and a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing, inclusive and inspiring environment where every student feels valued, understood and empowered to succeed. What You’ll Do
- Support students on a one\-to\-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom to help them engage in learning and achieve their individual goals.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning experiences.
- Encourage students' communication, confidence, emotional wellbeing and independence.
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), Communication Profiles and personalised learning strategies.
- Create positive, trusting relationships that help students feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
- Prepare learning resources and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve the very best outcomes.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Adaptable and proactive, able to support students in a variety of settings
- Caring and patient, with a genuine interest in helping young people thrive
- Team\-focused, working collaboratively alongside skilled staff in a supportive environment
- Willing to learn, with an open and positive approach to training and professional development
- Qualified with GCSE English and Maths Level 4/C (or equivalent)
