Teaching Assistant – Frodsham, Cheshire

Location: Frodsham, Cheshire

Salary: £95 - £105 daily rate (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: [Full-time - Temporary]

Start Date: September 2026

Job Purpose To support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education, ensuring all pupils are engaged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential within a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities • Support the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons and learning activities

• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning and support progress


• Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials


• Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment


• Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, where required


• Promote good behaviour and assist with classroom management


• Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and educational visits


• Observe and report on pupil progress and behaviour to the class teacher


• Provide pastoral support and help promote pupils’ wellbeing

Person SpecificationEssential Requirements • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team


• A patient, caring, and supportive approach


• Basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths)


• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3)

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND


• Knowledge of the primary curriculum
