Summary
We are looking to appoint 2 enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated Level 1 Teaching Assistant's to support our SEN pupils across all phases in school. The ideal candidates will require lots of energy, while being flexible, adaptable and able to use their own initiative and actively support and enhance the strong Christian tradition and ethos of the school. The role involves providing a mix of 1:1 support, small group intervention and whole class support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one\-to\-one and group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), encouraging active participation, independence, and self\-confidence.

  • Deliver tailored learning activities and targeted interventions under the guidance of the Teaching Team and SENDCo.

  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development by adapting strategies and approaches to meet their individual needs.

  • Develop positive, trusting relationships with pupils to foster wellbeing, engagement, and sustained progress.

  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement, contributing to reviews, reports, and target\-setting processes.

  • Assist in the preparation and development of personalised learning resources and contribute positively to the wider classroom environment.

  • To meet the needs of pupil(s) in relation to welfare, hygiene, toileting, dressing

  • Be present for lunchtime coverage (to be discussed)

  • Implement behaviour management and regulation strategies in accordance with school policies and individual support plans.

  • Provide support during, daily routines, transitions, and, where appropriate, learning activities that take place outside the classroom or school setting
