Teacher of Drama - Long-Term Position Location: Doncaster
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a thriving academy in Doncaster to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Drama for a long-term position. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students through the performing arts and contribute to a supportive and ambitious school community.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' confidence, creativity, and performance skills. The role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the academy's Performing Arts department and make a lasting impact on student achievement.

Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and creativity.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback to support development.

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of learners with varying abilities.

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour.

  • Support students in developing performance, communication, and collaborative skills.

  • Contribute to school productions, performances, and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff to support student success.

  • Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students.

Requirements • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Specialism in Drama or a related Performing Arts subject.

  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary school level.

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • A passion for Drama education and inspiring young people.

  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • The legal right to work in the UK.
