Drama Teacher

Location: Preston

Contract: Full-time

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: From £170 per day (Dependant on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to inspire students and bring the performing arts to life. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive school environment and make a real impact on students’ confidence, creativity and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Encourage creativity, performance skills and teamwork

  • Prepare students for assessments and performances

  • Organise and contribute to extracurricular activities such as school productions, clubs and showcases

  • Support students’ personal development and confidence-building
The Ideal candidate will:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Have a strong subject knowledge in Drama/Performing Arts

  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and creative

  • Have excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Be committed to raising achievement and supporting all learners
