Tearoom Manager

Arley Estate, Worcestershire

Salary – Circa £30k dependant on experience

Hours – 37\.5 hours per week, working between Monday to Sunday including regular weekends and Bank Holidays.

We're looking for an energetic, hands\-on Tearoom Manager to take the lead at our much\-loved Garden Tearoom. Nestled within the stunning grounds of Arley Arboretum, our tearoom is more than just a place for coffee and cake—it's a destination in its own right and often the highlight of our visitors' day.

The Role

No two days are quite the same, but you can expect to:

  • Lead and inspire a fantastic front\-of\-house team to deliver outstanding customer experiences every day.

  • Keep service flowing smoothly, whether it's a quiet weekday morning or a packed summer weekend.

  • Work closely with our Estate Cook to ensure our delicious food and drinks are always looking their best and fully stocked.

  • Bring afternoon teas, seasonal specials, and tearoom events to life.

  • Manage rotas, recruitment, training, and team development, helping everyone perform at their best.

  • Keep a close eye on budgets, stock, sales, and profitability while reducing waste and improving efficiency.

  • Champion food safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

  • Turn customer feedback into opportunities to make the visitor experience even better.
What we’re looking for

You'll be someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years' hospitality management experience.

  • Loves leading and motivating teams.

  • Is passionate about exceptional customer service.

  • Can stay calm, organised, and positive when things get busy.

  • Understands stock control, budgeting, and commercial performance.

  • Has experience managing food safety, allergens, and HACCP procedures.

  • Enjoys finding creative ways to grow sales and delight visitors.
