The Role
The Tax Manager will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance services across both personal and business tax.
- Managing a portfolio of over c 500 personal and business tax clients, including High Net Worth Individuals
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholder
- Oversee and review the preparation of Tax Returns, CGT Returns, IHT forms various other private client compliance matters, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirement
- Provide expert advice on tax matters to clients, resolving any queries
- Manage the tax department team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery together with appraisal, performance review and manage training needs of the team
- Provide reports and ensure billing and recovery targets are met for the department
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing clients and develop new business leads
- Handling direct correspondence with HMRC, including payments, filings, and enquiries
- Advising clients on tax liabilities and payment obligations
- Preparing and submitting P11D
- Supporting the Making Tax Digital (MTD) process
- Communicating tax updates and relevant changes to clients
- ATT qualified or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- 3-5 years post-qualification experience within practice
- Strong technical knowledge across personal and business tax
- Confident dealing directly with clients and HMRC
- Organised, proactive, and detail-focused
- Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
