Description
- Manage the organisation's tax compliance processes, including VAT, corporate tax, and PAYE submissions.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and related filings.
- Provide expert advice on tax matters to internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to regulations.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
- Collaborate with external advisors and auditors as needed for tax-related matters.
- Develop and maintain efficient tax reporting systems and processes.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and implement best practices across the department.
- Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management.
A successful Tax Manager should have:
- A relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax regulations, especially in a retail context.
- Proven ability to manage tax compliance and reporting processes effectively.
- Experience in providing tax advice to internal or external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to stay updated on changes in tax legislation and apply them accordingly.
