TAR E&I Engineer
PEM Engineering \& Construction (PEMEC) are a petrochemical engineering company with knowledge and experience of Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Projects, Maintenance, Shutdowns, Labour Sourcing, Petrochemical, Oil, Gas and Construction Industries. Our head office is based on Sutton Fields, Hull , where we also have a Pipefitting/Welding workshop to supply our clients with bespoke project welding/pipe work.
We are currently seeking an experienced TAR E\&I Engineer to support major Turnaround (TAR) activities within a COMAH Top Tier petrochemical/chemical environment.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Electrical \& Instrumentation (E\&I) engineering, maintenance, project delivery and major turnaround planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop and implement major TAR I/C/E (Instrumentation, Control \& Electrical) activities.
- Provide technical support and leadership across E\&I maintenance, engineering and development activities.
- Support the management and execution of complex E\&I turnaround scopes.
- Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant European legislation, HSE requirements, site procedures and industry best practice.
- Provide technical input into Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), LOPA and complex FSC systems.
- Support E\&I projects through design, implementation and commissioning.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, contractor management and execution of TAR activities.
- Manage budgets and contracts effectively, ensuring appropriate commercial and cost control.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and technical compliance throughout the project.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within the petrochemical/chemical industry.
- Proven experience working within a COMAH Top Tier chemical/petrochemical facility.
- Strong experience in I/E/A maintenance and development.
- Thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of Instrumentation, Control and Electrical (I/C/E) working practices and procedures.
- Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems, LOPA and complex FSC systems.
- Proven experience delivering E\&I projects, including design, implementation and commissioning.
- Significant experience planning, developing and implementing major TAR I/C/E activities.
- CompEx 12 qualification covering engineering design of Ex electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Certified Functional Safety Engineer (CFSE) qualification in accordance with BS EN 61511.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Budget management and commercial awareness.
- Experience with contract ownership and contractor management.
