System Reliability Engineer

About the Role
You will strengthen a Data Management team in a banking environment where a new platform is being introduced alongside an existing service offering. The focus is on establishing and supporting a modern on-prem platform for data quality and reliability, while making sure operations, governance and security controls are in place from the start.
This role combines platform engineering, operations and security in a business-critical setting. You will help shape how the platform is run, documented and supported, which makes it a great fit if you enjoy building structure around modern infrastructure.
Job DescriptionYou will support the setup and onboarding of a new platform in a Kubernetes-based container environment.
You will help the team maintain and improve the existing offering from a technology and operations perspective.
You will contribute to operational guidelines, ways of working and documentation for the platform.
You will work with IT security control requirements and help ensure the platform meets expectations around configuration, authentication and encryption.
You will automate and streamline platform operations using scripting, CI/CD tools and modern infrastructure practices.
You will collaborate with stakeholders across platform, operations and security to create a stable and supportable setup.

RequirementsMinimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Background as a System Support Engineer, System Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.
Experience with several of the following

Linux Server administration, Windows Server administration, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD tools and practices, scripting and automation, and monitoring or observability tools.
Experience working with tools and technologies such as Terraform, GitLab, GitHub, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and Entra ID.
Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, including configuration management, encryption, and authentication.
Fluent English.
