About Arpenter

Arpenter is a growing environment auditing consultancy specialising in Furniture, Fixtures \& Equipment (FF\&E).

Using our bespoke technology, we survey and assess FF\&E across a variety of environments, capturing detailed information on assets including their type, dimensions, condition and suitability for continued use.

The data we collect helps our clients make informed decisions about their existing FF\&E, identify opportunities for reuse and repurposing, reduce unnecessary expenditure and minimise the environmental impact associated with purchasing new products.

Having completed more than 500 projects across the UK and internationally, we work with leading contractors, interior designers, FF\&E consultants, universities, schools and other organisations.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a Survey Team Lead to take a leading role in the delivery of our on\-site surveys.

The Role

The Survey Team Lead will be responsible for leading survey teams on projects across the UK, and occasionally internationally.

You will be responsible for ensuring surveys are delivered efficiently, accurately and professionally while acting as a key point of contact between our on\-site teams, clients and the Arpenter Operations team.

This is a hands\-on, physically active and customer\-facing position. You will be expected to lead by example, actively participate in surveys and ensure the team maintains our expected standards of data quality, productivity and professionalism.

The position involves regular UK\-wide travel, overnight stays and some evening work, so flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate survey teams while working on site.


• Conduct detailed FF\&E surveys across a range of sectors and environments.


• Allocate work and coordinate team members to ensure surveys are completed efficiently.


• Support the Operations Manager and Director with the management of on\-site teams, including subcontractors where required.


• Ensure survey data is captured accurately and consistently in accordance with Arpenter's processes.


• Carry out quality checks throughout projects and identify any issues before leaving site.


• Act as a professional point of contact for clients while on site.


• Communicate project progress, challenges and requirements back to the Operations team.


• Help organise and coordinate travel requirements for projects across the UK.


• Compile and support the production of detailed client reports following surveys.


• Provide appropriate advice and information to customers regarding surveyed FF\&E.


• Help develop strong, long\-term customer relationships.


• Identify opportunities to improve our surveying methods, technology and internal processes.


• Support and guide other surveyors, helping them develop their knowledge and maintain consistent standards.


• Take responsibility for the successful day\-to\-day delivery of projects while on site.

Travel \& Working Requirements

This role involves a significant amount of travel and applicants must be comfortable with this before applying.

You will need to:

• Be able to travel throughout the UK on a weekly basis.


• Be comfortable with regular overnight stays.


• Be flexible regarding working hours, including evening work on many projects.


• Be able to work independently when required.


• Hold a full clean UK driving licence.


• Be comfortable travelling internationally occasionally when required.

When you are not working on surveys, there is flexibility to work remotely, from home or from the office depending on business requirements.
