The Surgery Modality Manager FBL is a pivotal commercial and strategic leadership role, responsible for defining and executing the Surgery modality strategy across France, Benelux and Luxembourg as part of the International Region.
The role carries direct responsibility and accountability for driving orders, revenue, margin, market share and customer satisfaction, while ensuring strong positioning, pricing discipline and portfolio execution across the zone. This includes developing and executing a localized sales and marketing strategy in close alignment with the International Surgery Modality team and local commercial leadership.
The Surgery Modality Manager will lead, coach and develop a high\-performing team of Modality Sales Specialists and Clinical Education Specialists, while partnering closely with sales, service, marketing, clinical and account management teams to accelerate growth and improve customer impact. The role is instrumental in building strong customer relationships, strengthening industry partnerships, increasing commercial rigor and positioning GE HealthCare Surgery as a market leader across FBL.

What You'll Do:
Sales \& Financial Performance
- Own and deliver quarterly and annual targets for orders, revenue, margin and market share across the Surgery portfolio in FBL.
- Develop and execute the zone sales strategy in alignment with LCT, Zone and International Surgery priorities.
- Lead forecasting discipline and pipeline management, ensuring accurate visibility, clear prioritization and rigorous execution.
- Define and implement the local Surgery portfolio strategy, including pricing, positioning, configuration and profitability management.
- Partner closely with account teams to identify, qualify and convert growth opportunities across public and private healthcare segments.
- Drive commercial intensity through active deal reviews, funnel management, tender strategy and disciplined follow\-up.
- Build and maintain strong, long\-term relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, hospitals, surgical departments, KOLs, channel partners and industry organizations across FBL.
- Act as the voice of the customer, feeding market insights, customer needs and competitive intelligence back to International marketing and product teams.
- Proactively identify market trends, competitive dynamics, pricing movements and customer needs to inform local strategy.
- Strengthen external partnerships to enhance market visibility, improve win rate and unlock new growth opportunities.
- Lead customer targeting, product demonstrations, reference site development and site visits to support commercial conversion.
- Ensure clear product positioning and differentiation, aligned to customer value propositions and surgical workflow needs.
- Develop and execute a localized marketing strategy for Surgery in FBL, in partnership with the International Modality team.
- Translate international campaigns, product launches and portfolio priorities into impactful local execution.
- Define customer segmentation, target accounts, campaign priorities, exhibitions, events, sales tools and messaging.
- Monitor and report market trends, competitor activity, pricing evolution, share movement and customer feedback.
- Ensure effective two\-way communication between the field, local commercial teams and International marketing.
- Support the successful introduction and adoption of new products and technologies across the zone.
- Lead, coach and develop Modality Sales Specialists and Clinical Education Specialists across FBL.
- Build a high\-performing, collaborative and accountable team culture focused on growth, customer impact and execution excellence.
- Set clear priorities for customer engagement, demonstrations, training, installations and post\-sale support.
- Ensure the team has the right competencies across product knowledge, pricing, clinical workflow, customer value messaging and commercial execution.
- Foster empowerment, continuous improvement and strong cross\-functional collaboration.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching and recognition to drive engagement and performance.
- Ensure knowledge of and compliance with GE HealthCare policies, quality processes and applicable regulations.
- Maintain an effective quality system compliant with relevant standards and requirements.
- Fully comply with EHS local regulations and GE HealthCare requirements.
- Coordinate tender responses and tender documentation validation in collaboration with Account Managers and Executive Account Managers.
- Partner with service, clinical, commercial and operational teams to ensure strong customer experience from pre\-sale through installation and adoption.
- Significant experience and proven track record in MedTech sales, marketing or modality leadership, ideally within imaging, surgery, interventional, operating room or related clinical environments.
- Proven ability to deliver commercial targets across orders, revenue, margin and market share.
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and ability to translate market insight into executable growth plans.
- Experience leading or influencing cross\-functional teams across sales, clinical, marketing, service and account management.
- Strong customer\-facing skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior healthcare stakeholders, KOLs and industry partners.
- Good understanding of surgical workflows, operating room environments and clinical customer needs; technical and clinical knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation, pricing and deal execution skills.
- Ability to manage complexity across multiple countries, cultures and healthcare systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required; French and/or Dutch language skills would be a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel across France, Benelux and Luxembourg as required.
