Duties
----------
DUTY 1: Responsible for managing and overseeing the work related to planning, designing, and implementing IT systems to match the business requirements of customer organizations.
DUTY 2: Provides advanced IT expertise in the production of integrated architectures by in\-depth knowledge of IT design, tools, methods, and techniques, as well as life cycle management concepts, cost benefit analysis, systems architecture, and integration techniques.
DUTY 3: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
DUTY 4: Keeps abreast of emerging technology to predict future network needs.

- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1\-year probationary period OR 2\-year trial period.
- Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
- Employee must be able to acquire and retain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented information (SCI) access in order to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Employee must pass initial and continued periodic random drug testing.
- Position may require temporary duty travel (TDY) utilizing military and/or commercial transportation.
- Performance of duties includes lifting and moving computer\-related equipment and systems. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Experience with the support and maintenance of functional intelligence systems and applications is required.
- Requires MSCSE or equivalent.
Qualifications
This is a GG\-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG\-13 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS\-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A)
BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following are:
- Knowledge of a wide range of IT principles and systems analysis concepts and techniques, new and emerging information technologies, and security methods and principles. Knowledge of security procedures to maintain and control of classifies material. Knowledge of safety, security, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of IT policies, entities, missions, resources, operations, capabilities, databases, and requirements to perform intelligence research and operations planning, collection target analysis, and/or other intelligence related activities. Knowledge of security procedures to maintain and control of classified material.
- Knowledge of system design tools, methods, and techniques; life cycle management concepts, cost benefit analysis, architecture, integration techniques and testing methods; and procurement techniques and requirements. Knowledge of safety, security, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of customary approaches, techniques, and requirements appropriate to analyze requirements. Develop acquisition strategies and implement systems enhancements.
- Ability to maintain an up\-to\-date awareness of technological advances, to apply internet technologies to analyze networks and the related security aspects and predict how management can meet future requirements. Ability to analyze, plan, organize, direct, and adjust the functions and supervise, mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in order to produce technical reports and/or briefings; and to maintain good working relationships and lead project teams. - Information Assurance: Complete DoD 8570 requirements within 6 months of selection. Per DoD 8570,01M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six\-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570\.01\-M, C3\.2\.4\.2 or C3\.2\.4\.2\. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
