Support Worker
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in providing compassionate care and assistance to individuals in need. The role involves supporting individuals with various care requirements, including assisted living, dementia care, and hospice care.
Duties
\- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal care, medication administration, and mobility support
\- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals under your care
\- Implement behaviour management strategies when necessary
\- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals receiving care
\- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to deliver comprehensive care
Skills
\- Experience in patient care, preferably in assisted living or hospice settings
\- Knowledge of dementia care practices and protocols
\- Ability to administer medication following prescribed guidelines
\- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with individuals and their families
\- Previous experience in childcare or similar roles is advantageous
\- A valid driver's licence for transportation needs
Job Type: Part\-time
Pay: £12\.80\-£15\.00 per hour
