Support Worker

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide high\-quality care and assistance to an individual with learning difficulties. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing clients' well\-being and independence through personalised support and compassionate caregiving. Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing


• Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols


• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met


• Provide behavioural management and emotional support for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments


• Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment


• Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving when required


• Observe and report changes in health or behaviour to relevant healthcare professionals


• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well\-being


• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary

Requirements

• Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care is highly desirable


• Knowledge of learning disability


• Valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties


• Certification in first aid is advantageous


• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients


• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely when required


• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals


• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some roles may involve evening or weekend work depending on service requirements

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour
