Our The Moorings is home to up to ten adults with physical/learning disabilities. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.

Your working hours

We offer occasional hours, covering holiday and sickness.

Typical shifts may include:

  • Day shifts: \[e.g. 10am \- 10pm, 7am \- 7pm]

  • Sleep\-in shifts: \[e.g. 10pm–7am, with separate on\-call availability]

Enhanced pay: £1\.00 per hour will apply to weekend working only (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep\-Ins.

  • Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication

  • Encourage independence through a person\-centred approach

  • Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities

  • Keep clear, accurate records

  • Most importantly – help each person live life on their own terms
No previous care experience? No problem – we’ll give you all the training you need.

About Leonard Cheshire

For over 75 years, we’ve been supporting disabled people to live, learn, and work as independently as possible. We provide specialist support across residential care, supported living, and respite services for people with physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, sensory impairments, and learning disabilities.
