Ongoing Family Support Worker (Female Preferred)
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Family Support Worker to provide ongoing support to a young mother with a disability and her two children within their home in the Maryhill area of Glasgow. This is a long\-term position requiring a professional, respectful, and person\-centred approach, with the ability to work sensitively within a family setting while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will work directly within a family home, supporting a young mother with daily living tasks, childcare, and maintaining a stable and well\-organised household environment. You will play an important role in promoting a safe, calm, and structured home life for the family.
This role requires someone who is caring, dependable, and confident working independently in a home\-based support setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical and emotional support to a young mother with a disability.
- Support the care, safety, and wellbeing of two young children within the home.
- Assist with daily childcare, supervision, and age\-appropriate activities.
- Carry out household tasks including cleaning, tidying, laundry, and maintaining a safe and hygienic home environment.
- Support with meal preparation and general day\-to\-day household organisation.
- Encourage independence while providing appropriate and consistent support.
- Promote a calm, structured, and positive home environment.
- Communicate effectively with the family and report any concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality, safeguarding, and professional boundaries at all times.
- Ensure punctuality, reliability, and consistency across all shifts.
- Essential: Previous experience working with children.
- Experience in childcare, family support, domiciliary care, or support work is highly desirable.
- Female applicants preferred for this role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.

- Tuesday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
- Wednesday (Sleepover): 9:00pm – 9:00am
- Thursday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
Pay: £14\.00\-£15\.00 per hour
